Some Effective Points to Heal the Neck Pain |
Recently, more and more patients come to our clinic for severe neck pain. Among the patients seeking help for pain related problems, most of them have neck pains. Why are there so many neck pain patients within two weeks? What are the causes of their problems? These questions may be left for further study, and today I would like to talk more about the healing of neck pain.
I am very familiar with neck pain, upper back pain, and lower back pain, because it has been my major field of study and application. Many years ago I published an article--- “The Eight Needles of the Neck” discussing the treatment of neck problems using the “eight needles” method. By then I was very contended because most of the patients would be healed quickly. However, as I explored more in the clinical practice, I eventually found that this “eight needles” method do not work so well for the more serious and acute cases, especially when the pain points were on the places where the muscle attaching the bones. For years I studied new methods such as distant points selecting and surface vein bleeding and it was not until recently that I found an effective new way to heal neck pain.

Here are some key points to these methods:
1. Distant Points Selecting
I usually take pairs of points using this method. The first pair is the Shugu and Houxi point. It is used for acute serious pain, and the needle technique is usually the reducing (“xie”) technique. Patients of this condition usually also has restriction of movement along with headache and shoulder pain that may extend to the shoulder blades and arms that make them unable to sleep or work. The second pair is the Kunlun and Taixi point. It is used treto at chronic conditions, and the needle technique is usually the adding (“bu”) technique on Taixi and reducing (“xie”) technique on Kunlun. These patients may suffer from long term serious neck pain and unease, and no pillow can fit them. Therefore they usually also have panic and depression problems.
2. Surface Vein Bleeding
This method is usually a follow-up after needle piercing. It is effective for both acute and chronic pain. It can be applied to the point of pain, or to the Dazhui, Dazhu, Gaomang and Tianzong points. It can also be applied on distant points such as Kunlun and Shugu, which need to be determined according to the actual situation.
Dear friends, if you can apply the above methods properly, most hard cases of neck pain can be solved with ease.
